Today we mark the annual Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day where we remember those who have lost their lives as a result of violence and abuse, and to raise awareness of the issues trans people experience.

As part of our work in achieving the LGBT Youth Scotland Foundations charter award, the Domestic Abuse Court Advocacy (DACA) Accreditation project reflected on the unique challenges that lesbian, gay, bi and trans victims and survivors may face in accessing court advocacy when experiencing domestic abuse. Today we launch our report, drawn from a discussion with professionals from four specialist DACA services: "We will support without judgement”: Domestic abuse court advocacy for LGBTQ+ people in Scotland.

Every victim and survivor of domestic abuse across Scotland should be able to access the right support at the right time. We look forward to continuing to find ways where the DACA project can support this work.
